Chiang Mai University gives importance to personnel to increase capacity and organizes the project “Foreign Skills Development for the Diplomat Network (Certified International Ambassador: CIAm).”
Chiang Mai University places great emphasis on personnel development and has organized the “Foreign Skills Development for the Diplomat Network (Certified International Ambassador: CIAm)” project. This initiative aims to enhance knowledge and understanding while developing international skills for various administrative personnel.
Chiang Mai University, through the Office of International Relations, held the training program “Foreign Skills Development for the Diplomat Network (Certified International Ambassador: CIAm)” from August 23 to 24, 2023. The opening ceremony was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Thanyanupat Anantana, Deputy Rector of Chiang Mai University. The event also featured a special lecture by Dr. Worakanya Buranaphan, Associate Dean of Chiang Mai University, focusing on the internationalization strategy of Chiang Mai University. Additionally, Mr. Panjajak Vorapricha, a specialist in diplomacy and international affairs, delivered a lecture on international skills for the diplomat network of Chiang Mai University. This training program was designed for Vice Deans, Assistant Deans, and staff members responsible for international affairs.
The program focused on aligning Chiang Mai University’s internationalization efforts with the 13th University Development Plan, with the aim of enhancing agility and efficiency, as well as implementing a unified and systematic approach to international affairs within the university. The training included topics such as diplomatic protocols, international certification, various formats of public speaking, and effective communication.
The collaborative efforts in international affairs across all departments of Chiang Mai University will foster a shared sense of purpose and a systematic development of international relations activities. This will lead to a full engagement in diplomatic roles in international affairs, contributing to the sustainable expansion of global partnership networks in pursuit of Chiang Mai University’s objectives.
