Exploring Stories, Building Connections: ISSC’s July Workshops (16–17 July 2025)

The International Student Services Center (ISSC) recently organized two engaging activities as part of the 21st Century Skills Program under the Soft Skill Enhancement Project, aiming to equip students with practical tools for global success. The events took place on 16–17 July 2025 and drew strong interest and participation from both Thai and international students.
The first session, A Deep Dive into Fiction, was held on Wednesday, 16 July 2025 at the VIP Room, CMU Office. The workshop explored storytelling techniques and the craft of creating compelling fiction. Participants examined the elements of great stories and shared their interpretations of character development, plot structure, and creative expression. The session encouraged students to think critically and creatively while appreciating the narrative styles from various cultural backgrounds.
The second activity, Game Night: Apples to Apples, took place on Thursday, 17 July 2025 at the VIP Room, CMU Office. The event offered students a lighthearted opportunity to unwind and build friendships through the classic party game. With laughter and lively interaction, students practiced their English language skills in an informal setting while fostering a sense of community and cross-cultural exchange.
Both events were well received, with students actively engaging and contributing to the friendly, inclusive atmosphere. These experiences reflected ISSC’s commitment to creating supportive spaces for students to develop soft skills through both academic and recreational activities.
Looking ahead, ISSC continues to promote upcoming events designed to support students’ adjustment and self-development in a diverse learning environment. Upcoming activities include:
