Chiang Mai University (CMU) invites students from partner faculties to apply for the Meiji SPSE Summer Program 2026. This intensive 2-week program, hosted by the School of Political Science and Economics (SPSE) at Meiji University, offers a unique opportunity to dive into the heart of Tokyo and understand the dynamics of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region.

June 29 – July 10, 2026 (2 weeks) Location: Tokyo, Japan
🎓 Program Highlights
- Academic Lectures: Specialized sessions conducted in English by expert faculty members on Japanese politics, economics, and society.
- Field Trips: On-site visits to key institutions such as the National Diet (Parliament) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
- Cultural Exchange: Opportunities to interact and build friendships with Meiji University students through various activities.
💰 Program Fees
39,000 – 70,000 JPY (Please note: Participants are responsible for their own expenses including program fees, travel, and living costs.)
✅ Eligibility & Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled student at Chiang Mai University (specifically within faculties/departments that have a formal exchange agreement with Meiji University).
- English Proficiency (One of the following):
- TOEIC 500+
- TOEFL iBT 52+
- IELTS 4.5+
- CU-TEP 60+
- Or a recommendation letter from your home faculty certifying equivalent English proficiency.
- Commitment to attend the entire 2-week program (no late arrivals or early departures permitted).
- Physical and mental fitness to participate in all group activities and travel.

- Pledge (Signed form)
- Official Transcript from Chiang Mai University
- Proof of English Proficiency
- Letter of Recommendation from your home faculty
- Application Form for Accommodation.
⏰ Important Deadlines
- Internal Faculty Nomination: Please check with your specific faculty’s international office for their internal deadline.
- Official Nomination to Meiji University: February 15, 2026.
