SEARCA Full Master’s and PhD Scholarships (2027–2028) is a scholarships for staff interested in pursuing Master’s and Doctoral degrees in fields related to “Inclusive and Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development” 🌱🧺🐝
✨ Benefits
- Tuition and other related university fees
- Travel allowance (round-trip airfare from home country to study location, plus domestic travel)
- Thesis or dissertation support allowance
- Books and instructional materials allowance
- Health insurance
- Monthly stipend for food, accommodation, and incidental expenses
👨🏻🎓 Eligibility
- Must be a national of a SEAMEO Member Country1
- Must be a regular staff member of an academic institution, research institute, or government agency
- Maximum age of 40 for Master’s degree applicants
- Maximum age of 45 for PhD applicants
- Field of study must relate to agriculture and rural development, with research topics aligned with SEARCA’s mission to foster agricultural and rural development in Southeast Asia
📝 Required Documents
- Completed application form (SEARCA Form)
- Certified true copy of official Transcript of Records
***must bear the university seal and signature of the registrar or administrator***
Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree transcript
PhD applicants: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree transcripts
- Certified true copy of diploma or certificate of graduation for all completed degrees
- Certificate of Employment
- Two (2) completed Recommendation Forms from an academic advisor and an employer/supervisor (SEARCA Form)
- Brief research proposal
***Topic must align with sustainable agricultural system transformation through innovation in Southeast Asia, contributing to higher farmer incomes, food/nutrition security, climate resilience, or capacity building.***
- Medical certificate confirming physical and mental fitness for graduate studies (SEARCA Form)
- IELTS or TOEFL test results (if available, taken within the last 2 years)

To the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) by Friday, October 30, 2026 (based on the official receiving stamp date).
