The Oita University, Japan, is accepting applications for undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the Spring 2027 Student Exchange Program, scheduled for either 1 semester (April – August, 2027) or 1 academic year (April, 2027 – February, 2028)

Program: IGLOBE (EN) & IGLOBE (JP)

🚩Conditions for IGLOBE Certification:

Upon completion of the program, a certificate will be issued when the following conditions are met:

• Successful completion of a minimum of seven (7) Oita University courses

• Submission of a final report reflecting on their own performance and experience at Oita University by the end of the semester

Participants will receive a TUITION FEE WAIVER💰

(Other related expenses should be covered by participants, such as visa fees, travel, living costs, accommodation, etc.)

👨🏻‍🎓Eligibility

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at Chiang Mai University

• Have completed at least 1 semester of study and not be in their final year

• Must maintain student status throughout the program

• Must have a TOEFL 500 (IELTS 6.0) score or equivalent unless they are native speakers of English, or an official JLPT certificate except those who have never taken the JLPT test before.

• Should be in excellent academic standing at the home university

• Should have sufficient intercultural adaptation skills to successfully complete the program

• Should be highly motivated with a clear study plan found in the IGLOBE

• Must be eligible for a “College Student Visa” according to Japanese Immigration policies

• Must return to continue their studies at Chiang Mai University upon completion of the program.

📝Required Application Documents

Please contact your faculty or affiliated department to inquire about the nomination details. The required documents to prepare are as follows:

• Application Form

• Résumé (Including an education history from the beginning of primary school
• onwards with a contact addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses.)

• Letter of Recommendation

• Proof of Student Status

• Academic Transcript

• Proof of Language Proficiency Test Results (TOEFL/IELTS and/or JLPT, if applicable)

• Language ability evaluation form completed by an academic (faculty) staff member

• Bank Statement showing the required balance:
  • One-semester stay: JPY 400,000
  • Two-semester stay: JPY 700,000

• Application for Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

• Copy of Passport

• Identification Photo Data (40 × 30 mm)
