An international competition focused on event planning and management, organized by the Asia Pacific Institute for Events Management (APIEM). The competition provides participants with an opportunity to develop practical skills in planning, managing, and responding to challenges in international event settings.

🎯 Objective

• To provide students with an opportunity to test and enhance their knowledge and skills in event planning and management, develop their problem-solving and situational response skills, and explore the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in combination with Human Intelligence (HI).

👨🏻‍🎓 Target Participants: Undergraduate students from universities, colleges, and polytechnic institutions worldwide

🤝Team Size: Maximum 4 members per team (Multiple teams may participate from the same institution)

💡Competition Format

Stage 1: Event Planning Challenge

Teams will receive a client brief and develop an event plan. Participants may use AI as part of the planning process. The challenge covers areas such as event business planning, budgeting, venue selection, operations, event design, technology, contracts, and accessibility.

Stage 2: Live Event Management Challenge

Teams will respond to 10 simulated real-time event management scenarios, such as speaker cancellations, technology failures, weather-related issues, safety concerns, and budget constraints. Participants will be required to demonstrate human judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills within a limited timeframe.
