- Can students enroll in courses from different faculties?
Yes, students can enroll in courses from faculties other than their host faculty.
- Courses taught in English
Courses taught in English are listed under the “International Program” section on the Registration Office website. (http://www1.reg.cmu.ac.th/registrationoffice/searchcourse.php)
- On-campus Dormitory for International Students
The on-campus dormitory is not available for international students. However, the International Relations staff of the host faculty will assist students in finding suitable and affordable accommodation nearby the campus before their arrival.
- Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

International Relations officers, Ms. Sabrina Concas and Ms. Junvimol Lertanan, are available to help students and can answer any question they may have during the application process. After students have received their acceptance letter, the International Relations officer at the host faculty will assist students with the necessary steps, and whose contact details can be found in the acceptance letter.

- Exchange Program Requirements
- Must be a full-time student at Chiang Mai University
- Must not be studying in their final year
- Must have completed at least 1 semester
- GPA 3.00 or above
- Must have EPTUS score or a language proficiency score as required by the host university
- Meet any other requirements as set by the host university
- Must be nominated by the home faculty
- Programs Available

- Exchange Program Costs
Students attending an exchange program at a host university that has a signed Memorandum of Understanding with CMU, will be exempt from tuition fees. However, other related costs such as travel, meals, visa application, insurance, etc. will be borne by students themselves.
- Can a student apply for an exchange program if they are studying in the final year?
No
- Can a student apply for more than one program at the same time?
No
- Scholarships or Financial Support
Some exchange programs offer scholarships such as the JASSO or MEXT scholarships that are for studying in a Japanese university. Please note that obtaining a scholarship cannot be guaranteed and the scholarship grantee will receive the scholarship once the program starts. There are also scholarships available to CMU students for exchange programs that fall under the AIMS and AUN-ACTS.
