ISSC Engages First-Year Students at CMU First Meet First Step 2025

The International Student Services Center (ISSC) participated in CMU First Meet First Step 2025, held on 21–22 June 2025 at the Sangkheet Yard, Chiang Mai University. The event welcomed first-year students and introduced them to the essential services, programs, and opportunities available across campus to support students in their transition into university life.
ISSC’s participation aimed to promote awareness of its services and official communication channels, particularly its Line Official Account, encourage Thai students to join the CMU International Buddy Program and participate in intercultural activities with international students, and promote upcoming workshops and cultural exchange programs that strengthen international engagement and global understanding within the university community.
Students visiting the booth learned about ISSC’s ongoing support services and how to get involved in the university’s international initiatives. The booth attracted considerable interest, with more than 600 students enthusiastically participating in fun mini-games and receiving special prizes. Most students came from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Science, among others. The activity not only provided students with essential information about available resources, but also helped foster a sense of belonging and excitement for the academic journey ahead.
ISSC will utilize feedback and data collected to enhance the planning and implementation of both the CMU International Buddy Program and future workshop activities. These initiatives aim to build meaningful connections between Thai and international students and to further promote a vibrant, inclusive, and globally engaged learning environment at Chiang Mai University.
