The Gifu University, Japan, is accepting applications for undergraduate students to participate in the “Gifu University – Student Exchange Programs 2027” Three (3) exchange programs scheduled to take place 1 Semester or 1 Academic year in Japan.

📋Program Information

Program 1: Special Auditor

👨🏻‍🎓Eligibility: Both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at a partner university.

• Student with JLPT N2 or higher: Affiliated with a specific faculty to take regular academic classes taught in Japanese, along with optional Japanese language classes.

• Student with Lower than JLPT N2: Affiliated with the Center for Japanese Language and Culture to focus mainly on Japanese language and culture courses.

🗓️ Period of Study: 6 months or 1 year (Starts in April or October)

Program 2: Special Research Student

👨🏻‍🎓Eligibility: Graduate students only. Requires conducting research under the academic supervision of a Gifu University professor.

🗓️ Period of Study: 6 months or 1 year (Starts in April or October)

Program 3: Japanese Language and Culture Studies Students

👨🏻‍🎓Eligibility: Regular undergraduate students who meet all of the following criteria:

• Possess Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher.

• Currently in their 2nd year or above.

• Majoring or double-majoring in Japanese language and culture studies.

🗓️ Period of Study: 1 year (Starts in October)

• Participants will receive a TUITION FEE WAIVER💰

(Other related expenses should be covered by participants, such as visa fees, travel, living costs, accommodation, etc.)

• Application Form

• Certificate of Eligibility

• Certificate of Enrollment

• Academic Transcript

• ID photo (4 cm x 3 cm)

• Copy of passport

• Study or Research Proposal

• Letter of Reference by Japanese language Instructor

• Statement of Financial Support

• Declaration of Applicable Specific Categories
